Featuring a photographic illustration of the player against a yellow background, this football card from Joe Namath’s 1965 rookie NFL year is a hot collector’s item. This slim card, Topps number 122 from 1965, shows a side view of Namath with a football in hand. Above his image, printed in red text, are the words ‘New York’ in all caps. Namath wears his green New York Jets jersey, and under the image is a banner with his name and player position (quarterback). The reverse side of the card reads in a landscape orientation and includes a large drawing of a football player making a pass.
